TOMBALL, Texas, Dec. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Memorial Hermann Tomball Hospital welcomed more than 500 residents and families at the ribbon-cutting ceremony of its grand opening and winter festival this past weekend.
“We are excited to expand Memorial Hermann Health System’s footprint into the Tomball community,” said Teal Holden, vice president of operations for ambulatory services at Memorial Hermann. “This allows us to continue to improve the community’s access to care by offering convenient locations that are easy to get to, no matter where you live.”
The event celebrated the hospital’s seamless transition into the broader Memorial Hermann network, following a joint venture partnership between Emerus Holdings Inc., the nation’s first and largest operator of micro-hospitals, and Memorial Hermann, one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in Southeast Texas.
Memorial Hermann Tomball offers 24-hours, seven-days-a-week emergency care in its state-of-the-art Emergency Center; inpatient care available to ER patients that require overnight observation and additional testing; and onsite lab and imaging services.
“By partnering with Memorial Hermann, our patients know they will continue receiving premier medical care,” said Craig Goguen, CEO of Emerus.
Those who attended the event enjoyed free food trucks, live music and family activities that included photos with Santa.
