As part of an ongoing initiative to support the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign, Emerus recently donated food and desserts to the Montgomery County Women’s Center. The Montgomery County Women’s Center, located minutes from the Emerus home offices in The Woodlands, provides safe shelter, counseling, crisis intervention and legal services to survivors of family violence, sexual assault and stalking. In addition, the center offers residential and transitional housing and outreach programs, which are all provided at no cost to residents.
“We are grateful for the donation today,” said Stephanie Costea, director of retail services for the center, “We will be using today’s donations to throw a Super Bowl-themed party for the women at our center.”
Emerus executives said the company is committed to supporting educational and outreach programs in the community as part of its commitment to keep communities healthy.
