HOUSTON – November 25, 2015 – Emerus Community Hospital in Tomball announced Wednesday that it has teamed up with the Toys for Tots program to be an official donation site for the holidays. The hospital will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0-12 through mid December.
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program is the largest outreach program in the Department of Defense. The program collects and distributes an average of 16 million toys nationwide, and to nearly seven million children each Christmas.
“This holiday season we wanted to open our doors to the community by partnering with Toys for Tots to do even more to help children in need in the Tomball area,” said Hospital Administrator Paula Gonzales. “We know that a small gesture like picking up an extra toy during our holiday shopping can have a huge impact for children on Christmas.”
In addition to serving as a drop off site, Emerus Community Hospital will also be providing free flu shots for families throughout the duration of the campaign.
